Being Body Posi

Being Body Positive is something a lot of women struggle with, and If you think about it, being a women is pretty damn expensive

I guess you can say that the “Wanna Be” Figure is the Fashion Nova girl shape (No shade to anyone whose gotten any work done btw). BUTT I just wanted to speak on something that I have personally struggled with for a long time. For Starters, I am tall, have dark skin, and I am skinny. Growing up I had a lot of insecurities about myself and the way I dealt with those problems was by body shaming myself. I would constantly criticize my appearance because I lacked confidence in myself ..

*Fast Forward Through The Sob Story*

 

…..You know that point in life where you FINALLY decide to put yourself first? Girl,same! That’s exactly how my life honestly started taking a turn for the better. I went through a period of time where I chose to put all my love and energy back to me. Sometimes we tend to feel like we need that acceptance from someone else, when we oftentimes neglect loving ourselves. I had to say to myself..”How could I love you more than I love me?”. I took a period of time to really figure out what makes me happy in life. I learned how to love myself by daily positive affirmations and by doing whats necessary for my well being.  As far as my appearance goes.. I am beautiful as I am. I can say that now and mean it 100%. However, Do I still spend money towards some of the things I mentioned in the list above? Yes.

One thing that I learned is that it takes a very long time for someone to be content in their body. There have been women who I would love to have their figure, meanwhile, they are telling me how they wish to be smaller like me! I have struggled for years to get past 115lbs (My Goal weight is to get to 130lbs) The only thing is, I want to do it in a healthy way through my diet and exercise. But believe me when I say that gaining weight is not as easy as it seems. Sometimes your appetite is completely gone and you have a high metabolism, therefore, it makes it harder for your weight to stay.

Don’t get me wrong, my body amazes me at times and I’m thankful for the fake abs God blessed me with. However, I want to still accomplish my goal of 130lbs hopefully by the end of the year. If You have any suggestions to gaining weight in a healthy way please comment down below!
